Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald Gaiety' is a compact evergreen climber/ground cover with striking variegated foliage. Its creamy margins contrast with the dark green centre, providing year-round interest in borders, rock gardens, containers or as a wall/cladding plant. When trained or pruned, it forms a dense, tidy hedge or a lush ground cover.
The plant produces very small flowers in summer, which are subtle but add to its charm. It tolerates a range of light conditions, with best variegation in partial shade. It is low maintenance and relatively drought-tolerant once established.
Care and usage tips: plant in well-drained soil, water well during establishment, mulch to retain moisture, and prune lightly to maintain a neat habit. Ideal for shady spots where foliage provides all-year interest.
